Happy Thanksgiving 2007

What could be better than good food, family and friends.

Took up the challenge of Guitar Hero with my niece and managed to score a respectable 48%, 50%, then 68% (of course, she was scoring 92%). So much fun, but really hard — even in easy mode.

Then played Wii Bowling and scored 87 half wa through the game before we broke for… dessert.

Tomorrow, we’re off to meet other friends for dinner.

Run Adam Run

This afternoon, I popped out to the street to see my friend Adam running in the marathon. I didn’t get a glimpse of Adam, but the event was spectacular. I was at about the 18th mile mark, so there were runners who were catching their breath and slowing down; others who started to pick up their pace. A few couples walking and talking. Achilles Track Club members were assisting disabled athletes. One man was running barefoot! And an Italian family was cheering “Italia” every time an Italian runner ran by. A father sported a cape and a sign (loneliestroad.org) to promote awareness of the disease neuroblastoma.

I didn’t see Adam, but it was truly inspiring to see the collection of runners. Bravo to all!
