Ms. Wang was one of the first real estate brokers to realize the Internet’s potential to enhance efficiency and consumer choice in the real estate market, as well as one of the first to experiment with alternative, pro-consumer business models. She pioneered the concept of the open real estate market, where consumers have access to the same information that brokers have. Her flagship company, MLX, was the first to use leading-edge technology to connect buyers, sellers, renters, landlords, and brokers. As a first mover in the Internet real estate space, MLX established partnerships with media firms including Yahoo!, Primedia/New York Magazine, New York Observer, crainsny.com, alleycatnews.com, and The Resident and raised capital through Internet.com’s Venture Fund I. Ms. Wang was recognized by Fast Company magazine as a Fast 50 Innovator for 2004 and has been featured in Entrepreneur magazine. A former banker, Ms. Wang is a graduate of Smith College and Harvard Business School.
